![]() ![]() If transferring a ticket to a future class date, students may only transfer their ticket once before forfeiting their original ticket, even if providing more than 24 hours notice. No refunds or credits will be provided for no shows. For cancellation less than 24 hours before the class, we do not provide a refund, but we do offer a 50% credit towards a future class or orientation. Refunds (minus Eventbrite fees), credits for future classes and orientations, or transferring a ticket to a future date, will only be provided if we are notified by email to at least 24 hours in advance of the class. MakerLabs' parking lot is located on the east side of the building on the corner of Hawks Avenue and East Cordova Street. ![]() What are my parking options at MakerLabs? The minimum age for participants is 13 years old with a participating guardian or 18 otherwise. Is there an age limit to enter the event? Please note: this class does not cover the jointer, planer, or resaw bandsaw, all of which are all covered in Woodshop 102. Panel saw, table saw, mitre saw, table router, sanders, drill press, and various sanding and hand tools. It is recommended that everyone sanitize their hands upon entering the building.Please note, due to COVID-19, the following measures are now in place for this class: We require that students must bring their own safety glasses or they will be available for purchase at the front desk for $5 This orientation is also a perfect precursor to our WoodLab 102, Table Saw 101, WoodLab 201, and Lathe 101 classes. Prior experience is not necessary, but may be helpful. Students will learn basic tool operation and safety, but will not complete a project during this class. The tools covered in this class include the the panel saw, table saw, mitre saw, table router, drill press, and smaller hand tools. ![]() Members and drop-in members must take this orientation before using the woodshop. WoodLab 101 covers the safe operation of the core tools in the MakerLabs woodshop.
